COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE - The Greenways Garage Sale has been scheduled for Saturday, June 5th from 8:00 am till 2:00 pm. Residents are encouraged to use this time for their garage sales. We will be putting out signs and advertising in the Amarillo Globe News. So you might as well clean out those closets and garages and have a sale. We will be sending out an email to all Residents with more details prior to that date.

Plan to attend this year's Parade of Homes. The dates have been changed to April 29th thru May 2nd, and May 6th thru May 9th. The following Greenways homes will be in the tour.

ANNUAL MEETING 2010
The Annual Meeting was held on January 25, 2010 at Ascension Academy. APD Crime Prevention Division presented information about Neighborhood Watch Programs and tips on crime prevention in the Greenways. Eddie Scott presented an update on new development in the Greenways. The 2010 Board of Directors was elected. Thank you to all the Residents who attended this year's meeting and thank you to Bill Summerhill and all the folks at the Ascension Academy for hosting this meeting. BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The 2010 Board of Directors held its first meeting on Monday, February 15th. Amy Hamilton, Kimberly Warminski, and Charlotte Adams were elected President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer respectively. Items discussed were Security, Park and Parkway lighting, 2010 HOA Dues, 2010 Budget, Resale Certificates, Communication with Residents, Pet Butler quote, and the Playa Festival Sponsorship. We will have more details in our April Newsletter.

RESALE CERTIFICATES / TRANSFER FEES
Please be aware when you sell your home in The Greenways,you should note in the Sale Contract that there is a Homeowners Association. The Title Company must receive a Resale Certificate signed by our Assistant Secretary, Shanny Dow, showing whether or not you are current on your Homeowners Dues. A Transfer Fee of up to $50.00 will be collected by the Title Company at closing and may be paid by either the Seller or Buyer. Typically, this is a Buyer expense. Please make sure your Real Estate Agent is aware of the Homeowners Association. If you have any questions regarding the Resale Certificate or Transfer Fee, please feel free to contact Shanny Dow at (806) 671-2121.

HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION DUES
You will be receiving your invoice for Greenways Homeowners Association Dues around April 1, 2010. Please make your payment to Greenways Homeowners Association and return to Wayne Rogers by May 1, 2010. The purpose of the Homeowners Dues is to fund various activities and events at The Greenways, as well as any administrative costs. We believe the dues are extremely low compared to other Homeowners Associations and we strive to spend them responsibility.

SECURITY ISSUES
With our increase in communications and awareness, we have seen an increase in the reporting of vandalism and crime in The Greenways. We have always experienced the same problems other communities have had, but we are just beginning to talk more about it and hearing more reports from the Residents. The Board of Directors and the Neighborhood Watch Committee are directing a great deal of emphasis on reducing the number of incidents. The Co-Chairpersons of the Neighborhood Watch Committee will be holding a meeting of this committee in the near future.
